Logan Square Farmers Market and other Logan Square Summer Happenings

It’s that time of year again! Spring has sprung, the flowers are blooming and the Logan Square Farmers Market moves from inside the Congress Theatre to the great outdoors. Beginning this Sunday, June 6th the Logan Square Farmers Market will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. every Sunday, next to the historic Illinois Centennial Monument. The Market, featuring some of the city’s most original offerings of local, organic, sustainable and specialty fresh foods, including Chicago's own Black Dog Gelato, Cedar Valley Sustainable Farm meats, and Dennanne Farm’s pure raw natural honey products, will continue through October.

“We are so excited about healthy food choices and the growth of the Farmers Market that we put it at the heart of our community, ” exclaims 35th Ward Alderman Rey Colón.

In the past several months, a flurry of new restaurants have emerged in Logan Square, which celebrate a love of food and champion locally-grown organic foods. These new additions have been notably well received by Logan Square's discerning dwellers.

This weekend join Dunley's for a Pig Roast on Saturday, June 5th, Noon-5P or visit newly opened the Bike Lane, or new record stores: Saki and Bucket o'Blood.
