All the music you could want at Elastic Arts!

If you haven't been up to Elastic Arts yet, you most definitely have your chance during April and May!  Elastic Arts is an essential resource in Logan Square for visual art, performance and culture.  And there is no shortage of events happening this Spring.  During the next two months, Elastic Arts, together with AMP-CHI, will be presenting "Intersections", a series of music collaborations and improvisations of musicians from AACM and Asian Improv aRts Midwest.  The series kicked off on April 2nd with a riveting performance by Kenneth Green and Dushun Mosley. If you missed that performance, the next one is scheduled for Sat., April 9th at 9PM.  Percussionist Dushun Mosley & bassist Tatsu Aoki will be performing followed by the Saalik Ziyad Collective on April 16th.  All performances will take place at 2830 N. Milwaukee with a cover charge of $12 ($2 discount for Jazz Institute of Chicago members and students). See below for a complete listing of artists and dates and don't miss your chance to see groundbreaking musical performances in our little corner of Chicago.

  1. Last night was great at Elastic Sound and Vision Gallery, three visual artist showed up with sketchbooks to capture sound vibrations of the musicians. The musicians loved the visuals created to their music. This is a great way to show the intersection of artists, musicians, and poets, thanks to Susan Fox.
