Stroll around the Square this Weekend- Make Art, Play Outside, Eat, Drink and Enjoy Live Music!
New Belgium Brewing’s 13-city travelling Tour de Fat rolls in to Palmer Square Park this Saturday, June 26th from 9 AM – 4 PM. Celebrate cycling while enjoying live music by Dovekins, Mucca Pazza and Fat Tire brews. Also includes a bike parade, a car/bike swap, and merchandise vendors.
As part of the Tour de Fat, LSNA (Logan Square Neighborhood Association) invites you to play outside. Palmer Boulevard will be closed to car traffic between Sacramento/Humboldt and Kedzie from 10 AM - 5 PM.
If art is more your speed, visit the Viaduct on Belmont and Kedzie and help paint a mural alongside local artists. Supplies, refreshments, t-shirts and live music will be provided.
In the evening, head over to the season's first Summer Sessions presentation featuring 3-hours of live music with: Afro Zep, Boom Crack Dance Company, and Chicago Stone Lightning Band beginning at 5:30 PM by the Monument. Kid-friendly activities including Logan Square Kids Drum Camp and a Busy Beaver button-making table will also be offered.
If you’re not ready to go home yet, head to the curated DJ after-party at Crown Tap Room, where the summer fun continues.
On Sunday, cool down with some locally-made gelato by Black Dog.
Sounds like a perfect summer weekend. Enjoy!
