New Friends in the Neighborhood!

Milwaukee Avenue Arts Festival Planning Begins
First Milwaukee Avenue Arts Festival Community Planning Meeting
Thanks to all who attended our first community-planning meeting of the year for the Milwaukee Avenue Arts Festival (MAAF) on Tuesday evening. We were pleased to see so many new faces and happy to see familiar ones as well! We need as many volunteers as possible during the upcoming months, so please let us know if you are interested in helping out. We'll be hosting an informational meeting for anyone interested in curating and exhibition opportunities this Saturday, March 19th from 2-4 at IALS’s Gallery located at 2648 N. Milwaukee Ave.

Logan Square at the Creative Expo
Logan Square Represents at the Creative Expo
Last weekend, we were joined by organizations from Logan Square at the The Creative Chicago Expo. It was great fun being in our little cluster, joined by friends from the Logan Square Chamber of Commerce, Hairpin Lofts, ArtHouse Chicago and the MAAF Art Committee. Together we helped spread awareness about all the art and cultural activities happening in the neighborhood. We met lots of new faces and seem to generate a lot of interest in what’s happening in our neighborhood.

Rewster's Co-Owners
Welcome to the Neighborhood Rewster's
Speaking of new friends, be sure to visit our new neighbors at Rewster’s CafĂ©!  Perhaps you’ve heard the buzz about Rewster's delectable food offerings conceived by Frenchman Frederic Zahm. We had a blast when we stopped by recently for an art, music and BYO brunch.  The new space is warm and welcoming and the food is divine!  The owners, Heather Christie, Justin Kohout and Tom Cirnigliaro are incredibly gracious hosts. The cafe will be featuring rotating art exhibits along with live music from local musicians.
Art, Music, BYO Brunch  March 13

Stop in soon to see photographs by Jason Bax and to try chef Zahm’s amazing food. Welcome to the neighborhood Rewster’s!
