"Point of View" opening reception and a Logan Square art gallery walk!

Come and celebrate Mother’s Day month with an exhibition of woman made art at the I Am Logan Square gallery during our May exhibition,“Point of View”! This all-female show will display works by Logan Square artists Katie Holland, Tracy Kostenbader and Julie Sulzen. Support the artists at the opening reception on Saturday, May 7, 2011 from 6-9 PM at IALS's gallery, located at 2648 N. Milwaukee Avenue. Rewster’s Café, Café con Leche/D’Noche and Paper Moon will be providing tasty hors d’oeuvres and desserts while local brewer, Wil Huffman will provide craft beers. And resident DJ, Nick Kusi, will be on the decks at IALS once again!

Holland, Kostenbader and Sulzen will also be participating in the 2011 Milwaukee Avenue Arts Festival, which will be held from Friday, July 29 to Sunday, July 31 along Milwaukee Avenue between Kimball and California. So come see a preview of some of the fantastic art that will be displayed at the festival this year!

This gallery opening is an especially important one, as it is part of Logan Square's first art gallery walk! Make a night of it and stop by Comfort Station and Nothin' Less, both of which will also be holding opening receptions for their new art exhibitions "Somethin' from Nothin'" and "Transcandescent." We are hoping to make Logan Square gallery walks a monthly happening, so come out and support all the amazing local art being produced in our own neighborhood.
